Friday 18th September – Up for a swim at 6.30am – had to wear half blade fins today because the pool was quite rough with the water going from side to side and they helped me keep to one side of the pool – did another 100 lengths plus aqua jogging while Mason went to the gym. After breakfast, it was nearly time for my computer class – I am really enjoying it and even though have done it before, this guy is excellent and I have learnt heaps. Lunchtime the choir did their showcase performance in the atrium and we did really well considering we had only a few days to prepare. After that it was lunch in the dining room with all the people from Cruise Critic – the website I had been chatting on before the cruise – Princess cruises have shouted us wine each time we have met. Did a bit of lobbying today, for votes for my entry in the photo contest – results tomorrow. Time to do a bit of reading this afternoon before getting ready for dinner – it was formal night tonight. Mason and I had some formal photos taken so interesting to see how they turn out. The show tonight featured one of the cruise staff with a fantastic voice and a comedian who was very good.
Saturday 19th September – Did not get to the pool till 7.30am but still managed to do the 100 lengths (the pool is about 12.5m) – Mason went to the gym again – aren’t we being good – have to be if you want to eat some of the really nice things!!!! See photos!!!(have added them to sea days September) To my computer class after breakfast, and then to choir practice, with lunch after that. Checked out our formal photos – not bad. The winners of the photo contest were announced at 3pm and I got 2nd equal and received some nice things and a bottle of bubbly – really pleased. The photo is in the Barcelona album – I will note which one. The jackpot at Bingo had to go today so had decided to play – not lucky. The big one was worth $5,500.00 Aus. The production show after dinner was very good tonight and afterwards went for a hot spa and then back to do this and bed. Dock at Oman tomorrow 7am and hour earlier than expected and back on board at 1.30pm. Looking forward to seeing Amanda and Peter.
